As one of Versed’s best sellers, this exfoliating body lotion is made with .1% retinol (a top derm-recommended ingredient for textured and aging skin), along with a host of other nourishing ingredients, and is safe enough to use every night. It’s a very lightweight and non-greasy formula, but with that in mind, note that this is admittedly not the most hydrating lotion ever. You can use alone if you find it’s enough, or you can apply a thicker cream on top if you still need an added boost of moisture. The formula is fragrance-free and safe for sensitive skin. The bottle is made wit 75% PCR plastic.
About Versed: Versed is a drugstore brand delivering a luxury feel and real results. As a community co-created brand, they’ve taken feedback and insight from real consumers to deliver their products, which means that safe yet effective formulations is a top priority for them. The brand prioritizes performance, using clinically proven and results-driven ingredients - like retinol and niacinamide - while maintaining integrity with the ingredients they choose to leave out. Every ingredient list on their site has a definition/ use case attached, so that you can see the actual value of each one for the product. Their goal is to « make products that perform for your, body, and planet. » Versed adheres to the EU ingredients standards for personal products, which we all know is much more stringent than the rules here in the US. While they choose not to use the word « sustainable» to avoid greenwashing they are making tons of efforts to lower their impact on their environment and are quite transparent in that process. They manage to do all of this while remaining accessible and affordable, with all of their products coming in at under $25.
